Cool – 50 years: This is Germany’s oldest entertainment show!
By Bjorn Strauss
Leipzig – It is probably the best-known (and oldest) Ossi show next to the “Kessel Colorful“, which runs on MDR: “outsiders, front runners“. The really extraordinary show has been on the airwaves for 50 years. Of course, there should be a media celebration …
In order to honor the “50-year-old” as befits her status, moderator Madeleine Wehle (54) comes to the “MDR at 4” studio on Friday for a coffee chat.
But until she announces the anniversary in proper style, four other celebrities will take a seat in the Leipzig studio. The guests of moderator Stephanie Müller-Spirra (38) are this week:
Monday (June 20): actor Vladimir Burlakov (35). Fans know the Moscow-born actor from the “Tatort”, from “Wilsberg” or the “Taunus crime thriller”. He has the new “How to dad” ARD series in his luggage. Burlakov came out and appeared in public for the first time with his friend Martin at the “GQ Men of the Year” gala. The couple in love were photographed hand in hand on the red carpet.

Tuesday (June 21): Singer and shooting star Julian Reim (26) recently released his debut album “In my head”.
50 years “outsider front runner” in the MDR
Wednesday (June 22nd): With javelin thrower and entertainer Mathias Mester (35) things get sporty. “Let’s Dancer 2022” is about, among other things, his commitment as a para-athlete and for people with disabilities in social media.
Thursday (June 23): Actress Jasmin Schwiers (39, “Rita’s World”, “Die Füchsin”, “Wilsberg”) will talk about her new film “The History of Mankind”.
And last but not least, it will be at the forefront: On Friday, June 24th, Madeleine Wehle will have the outsider in her hand. In short: 50 years of “outsiders, front runners”.
Separation with Rebecca Mir and Massimo Sinató? Instagram photo as reminder!
Madeleine will certainly make us want to watch the cult show “50 Years of Outsiders Frontrunners – The Best for the Festival” (Saturday, from 8:15 p.m. on MDR).
After all, it is the longest-running entertainment show on German television! The “customer service for the curious” immediately became a television cult.
Contributions such as the choir on the nudist beach or the elephant in the china shop are unforgettable parts of German television history.
“Please stay curious!”
MDR dedicates a two-hour special to the cult on Saturday evening during prime time! There’s a reunion with the loveliest misfits and the unforgettable frontrunners from 50 years of television history. And we want to know what became of them, whether they still pursue their bizarre hobby today, or whether they even set new records…
