The violent attack on Oliver Pocher in a boxing match could now cost Fat Comedy dearly. The public prosecutor’s office is already investigating the case. Apparently Pocher himself does not just let the incident sit and turns on his Hamburg lawyer.
Pocher received a fat slap in the face
The Tiktok comedian gave Oliver Pocher a resounding slap in the face in March during Felix Sturm’s boxing match against Istvan Szili in Dortmund’s Westfalenhalle. A short time later, a video of the incident circulated on Instagram, which Pocher also commented on. He publicly condemned the attack. In the meantime, the public prosecutor’s office is also dealing with the case, investigating because of bodily harm.

Apparently that’s not enough for Pocher. His intentions go even further than the prosecutor’s project. Therefore may Fat Comedy can no longer talk about the comedian, it’s up to the 44-year-old. Pocher is taking tough action against alleged insults by the attacker. For example, he doesn’t want his opponent to show older pictures of him and make fun of him. Apparently he feels humiliated by the Tiktoker.
Oliver Pocher threatens, Fat Comedy continues to distribute
With a multi-page cease-and-desist declaration, Fat Comedy is now to be forbidden from making fun of Pocher and exploiting the case with insulting and ironic comments on social networks. Otherwise Pocher Fat Comedy threatens with high fines.
But the Tiktok comedian apparently doesn’t like the cease and desist order. Instead of giving in, he hands out again to Pocher in an interview with “Bild”: “Olivier Pocher of all people rises to become a self-appointed public prosecutor? I have the impression that he likes to hand out, but can’t take it.” At the same time he criticizes Pocher for the fact that he likes to dish out against others: “When I see what Pocher has posted about other influencers, I can only say: my posts are super harmless.”
Freedom of expression and freedom of art: Fat Comedy does not want to be banned from making statements
However, the Tiktok comedian’s lawyers do not want their client to be banned from his statements regarding the incident.
“We consider the statements made by the Pocher side in the lawyer’s letter to be legally hypocritical.”
Fat Comedy Lawyers
Criminal defense lawyer Burkhard Benecken and media lawyer Dirk Giesen are pleading, among other things, for the right to freedom of expression: “We consider the statements made by the Pocher side in the lawyer’s letter to be legally hypocritical: our client’s rights to freedom of expression and artistic freedom are overridden by the warning letter.”
In terms of criminal law, her client shows sufficient insight. According to the lawyers, however, under civil law he would proceed with all the necessary legal severity against “such absolutely exaggerated claims” from the Pocher side.
Will Smith should also stop making fun of Pocher
Incidentally, with the cease and desist order, Pocher is not only taking action against Fat Comedy, but also against Oscar winner Will Smith. During this year’s award ceremony, he also gave his colleague Chris Rock a big slap in the face in front of an audiencebecause he had treated his wife disrespectfully. All of this happened just before the slap attack on Pocher.

Will Smith then referred to himself as the “Original”. Pocher’s lawyers demand that Smith should refrain from such jokes in the future.
For years, scripted reality formats were part of the standard program when you turned on the television in the afternoon and zapped through the private channels. But the time of pseudo-documentaries seems to be over. In 2019, RTL announced that it would throw such formats out of the program. Instead, the Cologne broadcaster is now increasingly focusing on news programs. “Point 6”, “Point 7” and “Point 8” are shown in the morning, then “Point 12” continues for three hours from 12 p.m. and in the evening the most important topics of the day are rolled out again in “RTL Aktuell”.
