Managed by two brothers, the establishment brings the two favorite snacks of Brazilians
The Parmesan baguette manages to unite the two meals that make many people happy and masterfully mix both flavors. The gastronomic novelty, which arrived a week ago in Campo Grande, combines pizza topping with hot dog bread. Managed by brothers Leonardo Cabral, 20, and Amanda Cabral, 15, PizzaDog has a menu full of savory and sweet options.
Located in the center of Campo Grande, the space features the same snack model that has been served in Curitiba (PR) since 2017. The product proposal was what attracted the attention of the brothers who, since childhood, have wanted to undertake. Before opening the space, the duo looked for six months for a business in the food business that resonated with them.
With about 30 pizza topping options, the establishment has everything you can imagine when it comes to ingredients. The menu is divided into special, noble, traditional and sweet sessions, in addition to having advantageous combos for the joy of regulars. Regardless of the choice, the method of preparation is the same and the special bread is always baked.
On the menu, some of the snack options are: four cheeses, Spanish, chicken straw, Sicilian, pepperoni, bauru, ham with bacon, Basque with catupiry and cheddar and American crispy. Without meat, the vegetarian snack is stuffed with mozzarella, mushrooms, tomatoes, olives, corn and catupiry. For dessert, the public can choose between nine flavors, two of which are wholemeal bread with dulce de leche, banana and white chocolate and bread with strawberry, banana and white chocolate.
According to Leonardo, the initiative to have the establishment with his sister was supported by parents Cristina and Fábio Cabral. He reports that in childhood he was already encouraged by them to undertake and have their own money.
“At home for a long time we have been educated with this part of finance and we have been learning the value of things. So, we put the money together and a few months ago we decided to take our savings and pension plans and open the store”, he explains.
Because the snack proposal is new, the young man reports that regulars find the food unusual and, at first, do not understand what the mixture is. “We are getting a lot of positive feedback. What we hear most when people come here is: “What do you sell?, How does it work?”.
There are people who ask if it’s a pizza that goes inside a sandwich, if it’s a pizzeria where you can take a dog, it has everything”, he says.
In addition to being able to order the snack and eat at home, the customer has the possibility to go and consume directly in the store. The location of the space, according to Leonardo, was chosen to help people who work and study in the region to have a place to have a tasty meal. “Nearby, the only snack bar in this style is four kilometers away and the others are all in Afonso Pena. It’s a quiet place to eat here and there isn’t a lot of clutter,” he says.
Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, from 16:00 to 22:00. If you want to try the snacks, the address is Rua Pedro Celestino, 2089, Centro. .
