Dallmeier presents its Domera 6000 camera series

Unique combination of AI analysis, motorized three-axis adjustment, and IR/white light outside the dome

Intercompany Drafting07/04/2022

With the Domera 6000 camera series, Dallmeier introduces a new generation of dome cameras. This multi-talented camera provides the best analysis results, even under the most demanding lighting conditions. Both AI-based edge analytics and image capture with the latest generation of four and eight megapixel sensors contribute to this.

With its more than 300 theoretically possible combinations, the Domera modular housing and mounting system covers a large part of all indoor and outdoor video applications. Quick installation and adaptation to modified environments is ensured by the Dallmeier RPoD with a remotely controllable motorized 3-axis lens adjustment, also called PTRZ (Pan Tilt Roll Zoom) function. For the first time, a ring with IR and white light LEDs positioned outside the dome is used for lighting. In this way, the system eliminates the lighting problems of traditional dome cameras. The Domera, therefore, is the only camera on the market that combines these advantages in one product.

High demand in the Premium segment

Particularly given their high demands on image quality, security, and analysis performance, end customers and installers often find it difficult to find the right solution among the wide variety of cameras available: how good are the image quality and performance? analysis? How easy or complex is the adjustment of the camera and how laborious is it to subsequently modify the angle of view or framing? There are lighting problems, e.g. eg because of scratches on the dome or reflective walls? And, finally, issues related to quality and durability remain pending, as well as, obviously, cybersecurity and data protection. Dallmeier’s new Domera 6000 camera series bursts forth with the high claim of having the right answers to all these demands.

Edge analytics with AI for a multitude of analytics applications

Thanks to their high-performance system-on-chip (SoC), Domera cameras have state-of-the-art AI-based edge analytics. Reliable detection and classification of objects such as people or vehicles enables a number of basic analyses, such as people counting, loitering or intrusion. Through the web-based user interface, users can view through different parameters a variety of possible analysis applications for their specific requirements. Through the control of relays, but also the support of standard protocols such as MQTT, it is possible to automatically trigger subsequent actions, such as the activation of third-party lighting or alarm systems.

In addition, the integrated and optionally available loudspeaker enables manual or automatic acoustic feedback. Regular updates ensure that the neural networks are always up to date and continue to be trained. On request, Dallmeier experts also develop or train neural networks for custom applications.

Maximum image quality and fast adjustment, web-based

The 6000 series has high image quality with four or eight MP resolution, HDR functionality and very high light sensitivity, making the cameras also perfectly suitable for use indoors and outdoors in difficult light conditions. A particular highlight is the completely new, adaptive IR and white light lighting system, for which registration as a utility model has already been applied for. The lighting is integrated into the housing ring and therefore positioned outside the dome. This unique design ensures a long period of use as it eliminates the problem of conventional IR dome cameras where minor scratches on the dome cause disturbing reflections.

A great time saving is provided by the motorized three-axis adjustment with the Dallmeier Remote Positioning Dome for short RPoD. Thanks to its PTRZ (Pan Tilt Roll Zoom) function, users can remotely adjust the frame and area to capture, and also modify it later. Thus, a 90-degree turn for corridor mode is also possible in the blink of an eye. Full camera setup is browser based and requires no additional software.

Well over 300 products with only 18 components

Especially interesting for the installer community: with Domera components, in theory, much more than 300 different products can be realized. This is made possible by a well-conceived modular system with four basic camera models, various lighting rings and different housing and mounting variants. The cameras, supporting ONVIF Profile S and T, can also be integrated into any VMS system. Thus, 90 percent of all classic video applications can be executed easily and with maximum quality and security; all this, with minimal training effort and a reduction in storage for the benefit of the installer. And, not least, for this innovative system, the Domera series has already received the Red Dot Design Award 2022.

From the very beginning, in the development of the Domera 6000 series, the customer’s views were above everything else. We offer end customers the highest image quality and, thanks to AI analysis, an advantage to users that goes far beyond mere video functionality, says Dieter Dallmeier, Founder & CEO, Dallmeier electronic. The installer in turn can offer his end customers real added value; And all this with minimal effort in configuration, installation and adjustment. In combination with our well-known good quality and thus its correspondingly low volume of support, very interesting possibilities are offered here also commercially.

Next Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 16:30 CEST, Dallmeier will host a webinar where end customers, partners and installers can learn more about the benefits and a live demo of the new camera series.
