What is and how to use the Apple Books app on iPhone

Going to bookstores to buy physical books is a routine that has been losing appreciation, especially with the limitations imposed by the pandemic. On the other hand, ebooks are gaining more and more fans, since, in addition to the ease of acquiring them, the screen size of current smartphones provides a very satisfactory reading.

Apple Books, through the Books application, offers a lot of ease for the consumption of ebooks, PDFs and collections of the most varied categories. The app organizes your reading and allows you to create daily goals, a perfect resource for those who have difficulty keeping a daily rhythm and want to see statistics on the amount of time read and books finished.

Books also encourages the user to maintain interest in other books by breaking them down into popular topics. Among them, books, movies and TV series, to read and get inside the story before watching them; books by Brazilian authors, with the main classics of our literature, such as Jorge Amado, Clarice Lispector, Machado de Assis and others; and new releases, so order them in advance and read them as soon as they come out.

The app’s library of books is very organized and is kept in sync with your iCloud account. So you can access books and pick up where you left off across Apple devices (iPhone | iPad | Mac). Despite having an app for the Apple Watch, unfortunately in Brazil we still don’t have the option to listen to audiobooks in the app, the only option for consumption via the smartwatch.

And the experience of reading the ebook through Apple Books is simply fantastic. The app simulates the feel of a physical book, with pages that have paper-like textures and the realistic feel of flipping from one page to another. All these factors deliver excellent reading quality, even for people who are not used to long iPhone readings.
